While most eyes are closely studying the form in Sydney when it comes to the racing, the Caulfield Racecourse will be hoping to steal some glares, as the Easter Cup Day draws closer and will be held on the 3rd of April.
Closing the coveted Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival, the Easter Cup Day will be headlined by the running of the 2010 Easter Cup, and the Group 2 event will be offering a substantial $125,000 in prize money.

One potential starter for the 2,000 metre race is the Leon Macdonald-trained Rebel Raider. Having won the SA Derby (2500m) and the Chairman’s Stakes (2000m) both at Morphettville, the four-year-old would certainly be a strong contender for the 2010 Easter Cup, having proved himself over the long distance.
After producing several champion runners, the 2010 Easter Cup will once again be an open handicap, and therefore provide certain entertainment on the Easter long weekend.
Also taking place on the 3rd of April and running alongside the 2010 Easter Cup will be the Group 3 Victoria Handicap (1400m).
