As Easter approaches us this weekend, it is once again that time of the year for the Caulfield Racecourse to host its annual Easter Cup Day.
Closing what has been a fantastic Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival, the day will be headlined by the Group 3 Easter Cup (2000m), and the race currently has 16 nominations.
Having proved himself against quality horses in the Blamey Stakes, Hissing Sid could be a strong competitor for the Easter Cup. The five-year-old finished fourth among some strong runners, and will be looking to get a share in the $125,000 prize money on Saturday.

Beatboy, trained by Michael Moroney, could do well on Saturday having already seen off another nomination Sea Hunter in his last race.
Fanjuria and Laspiel, trained by Lee Freedman and Robert Smerdon respectively, have also faced off recently at Caulfield, with Fanjura coming out triumphant – and may well be a gelding to watch for the 2010 Easter Cup.
Smerdon has a second nomination in Light Vision for the Easter Cup, while Robbie Lang also has two nominations in Rowland and Xavier.
Also taking place at Caulfield this Saturday will be the Group 3 Victoria Handicap (1400m).
