Final Field For The 2010 Easter Cup

Headlining the closing event of the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival – the Easter Cup Day, will be the Group 3 Easter Cup (2000m), which will take place on Saturday at the Caulfield Racecourse.

With a fun-packed day prepared, the Easter Cup will be the seventh of eight races, and will kick off at 4.30pm with 11 great horses.

Drawing the inside barrier for Saturday’s race is Sea Hunter. The Flemington gelding has won two of his last three starts, losing out to Beatboy most recently.

Beatboy has won two of his last three starts – proving he has staying power.

Beatboy, trained by Michael Moroney drew the third barrier, and has also won two of his last three starts – proving he has staying power.

Out wide for the Easter Cup will be Miss Maren, trained by Mick Price. The mare recently came seventh in the Australasian Cup, starting from the tenth barrier, and could prove herself against Saturday’s starters.

Also being held on Saturday at the Caulfield Racecourse is the Group 3 Victoria Handicap (1400m).
